I'm Baaaaaccckkkk!

Hello!

It's been a while!

It's been quite the challenging past year and a half personally, and I am only now ready to take time for myself. I've written that I've always wanted to have a blog... and still do. So, with that, I. Am. Back.

I'm working on me: trying to lose weight (so that I can feel better in my own skin) and have signed up for WW Meetings + Online. I was doing online only but I'll be honest, I cheated the system and ended up losing and gaining the same 10 pounds over and over again. With my past successes with meetings I decided I need the accountability, so I made the leap when I was able to take advantage of a great deal for a 6 month plan. 3 meetings in I am kinda in limbo, I had an amazing camping trip with my son last weekend that saw me gain week one's loss plus 2 ounces.

I am working hard at making my environment as successful as possible- I crocheted a little bag to hold all of my meeting materials, I made a bullet-journal-like-book to document losses and write in daily (I NEED to get better at this!) and have attempted to get my kitchen and house as food-friendly as possible. I am including my whole family in this lifestyle: my husband & two sons. (15 & 17)

My goal is to post at least 2-3 times/week, plus to my Connect account (theskinnybecky) and Instagram (@theskinnybecky) daily at least. This will be part of my accountability. Thanks for the company!

Welcome to my Diary...

1.) I've always wanted to blog. Like always. I have 4-5 dormant blogs on blogger that I never really stuck to.

2.) I've always wanted to lose my baby weight. Like always. OK, at least since my last son was born in 2003. I lost all of the weight I gained with son #1 in 2001 and actually weighed less than I did before that first pregnancy! So I know I can do it. But some things have happened. I got older. My lifestyle changed: I no longer had the time to walk 1-2 hours 3 times/week. I had to start working full time. My boys grew up and needed me more than they did when they were infants. (Perhaps not exactly in the same ways, but you know what I'm saying.)

If I add these two things up, I see something that could be wonderful for me. Blog my weight loss journey! It can keep me accountable, have something to look back at when things get tough, and perhaps open up my support circle beyond my sons and husband. Not a bad deal.

So there you have it. I will post a lot here. Maybe not all weight loss related, but I want to have fun with it! So here it goes!
